Isiolo teacher who died of Covid-19 got infected in Kajiado

When President Uhuru Kenyatta opened the economy early this month, Kenyans were happy that they would travel across the country without restrictions but little did they know the more they will be exposed to the deadly Coronavirus.

While the country continues to record big numbers of those infected with the disease, a family in Isiolo mourns their kin who died days after traveling to Kitengela in Kajiado county.

The deceased, a Somali woman traveled days after the President lifted the travel restrictions to visit relative where she contracted the disease.

It is while in Kitengela that the asthmatic woman, in her 40s, developed some breathing difficulties and was rushed to the hospital and placed under Intensive Care Unit where she spent few days to her passing on.

The late, who was a teacher at one of the schools within Isiolo town, was among those that the Ministry of Health announced had passed on during last Thursday’s brief.

The late woman’s husband is a nurse working with the Isiolo County government.
