Hon. Muthama’s hate speech against Ethics and Anti-Corruption Boss is unwarranted

I was utterly flummoxed by the outrageous and inflammatory remarks spewed out by Machakos Senator, Hon. Johstone Muthama against Anti-Corruption czar in a public function on Tuesday in Tala, Kangundo Constituency .
It’s a well-known fact, unless you live on Mars or lack of comprehension, that I have a lot respect for Machakos Senator with measurable zeal. The ruling apparatchik’s stalwarts have choice of epithets for any of their critics. It’s nothing personal. We simply have a difference of opinion and divergent or competing political philosophies. I would like to think that’s a hallmark of democracy, and a good thing for the society. However, during that particular function the Honourable Senator threatened the Ethics and Anti-corruption  (EACC), CEO,  Halakhe Waqo that he will parade him at Uhuru Park and give him a dog’s beating because according to him, the EACC Boss has failed Kenyans.
It is clear to all and sundry that nobody is above the law and Chapter Six of the Constitution on Leadership and Integrity is very clear because it was neither written in Banyamulenge nor Gujjarati languages. More so, matters of corruption are personal nor tribal . Senators are State officers by law. Election does not insulate leaders from investigation.
Article 260 of the Constitution defines Senators as State officers bound by the Public Officers Act and the law that created EACC. Nevertheless, Hon. Muthama has gone bonkers and started throwing tantrums with ill-informed, untrue and baseless claims regarding his accountability and obligation to due process of law relating to allegations of corruptions directed at him by an independent organ of the government.
The context of this discourse draws some wild and shocking concerns from the outburst from Senator Muthama who has perfected the art of hurling insults, tirades and threatening public officials who are doing their job of fighting corruption which has become a menace in Kenya.
Be that as it may, Hon. Muthama was angry with EACC official after he was linked to a number of corruption scandals including the Kshs. 5 Billion Malili Ranch and Kshs 300 Million judiciary saga.
In the fullness of time, these vitriols are vague, myopic, dishonest, lopsided and beyond anyone’s figment of imagination.
To Hon. Muthama with a hammer everything resembles a nail, it gets weird when the hammer holder is none other than him; a namby-pamby apologist with a bloated ego and alpha narcissism riveted to nonpareil zeal of someone trying to “catch the eye” of a political demigod and wretched voters perhaps to arouse cosmetic public sympathy as if the populace are fools.. But that is not a reason enough for him to subject Kenyans to series of hate speech every other day; he must be watching too much Alice in the wonderlands and boondocks.
Hon. Senator, we are tired of this hollow diversionary tactics that borders on incitement . He should rise above such pettiness and get out of the woods whenever he is overwhelmed or bogged down by his Constitutional mandate and roles.
