The Isiolo County Executive for Lands, Physical Planning, Roads, Public Works and Urban Development Hon. Mohammed Ali Sime has officialy tendered resignation from his position under unclear situations. Hon. Sime did the communique through a letter dated Tuesday 13th August, 2019. He indicated that he will be officially out of office effective from 2nd September, 2019 at 9.00 AM
Mr Sime confirmed to the Whispers Team on Wednesday that he tendered his resignation but didn’t provide details though he thanked the Governor for giving him opportunity to serve the community in that capacity.
An insider from the county deep state who was privy to the issue said the County Minister resigned owing to intermittent frustration and interference in his work by some top notch county honchos.
“Sime bowed out for not being allowed to freely do his work and locked out in key decisions involving his plum docket,” the official disclosed on condition of anonymity.
His resignation comes barely 10 months after former Finance executive Mwenda Thiribi quit citing deliberate sabotage, frustrations and graft in Governor Mohamed Kuti’s administration. The Finance docket is being held by Hon. Mohamed Haji, who is also in charge of Health, previously held by Deputy Governor Dr. Abdi Ibrahim Issa.
The Deputy Governor has been raising similar concerns in local radio stations in the recent weeks. When contacted by Whispers Team over the phone, the Deputy Governor quipply said, “The care and service delivery to those who elected us in office is the highest honour one has to guard.
Our efforts to reach Governor Kuti’s comment on the unfolding event was an exercise in futility. Whispers Team was reliably informed that Hon. Tiyyah might take up the position in an acting capacity till substantive person is appointed by the Governor.
